All Diva Media Tackles Motherhood

Washington, DC and Lansing, MI – October 25, 2007- Parenting is one of the most important jobs in the world; it is also one of the most underappreciated.

“When I was a kid I never gave my parents the credit they deserved,” said DJ Nelson founder of All Diva Media, a network of sites focusing on empowering women. “Now that I’m older I see that a lot of parents are feeling overcommitted, under prepared, and underappreciated. That’s where we are stepping in and giving parents a place to go.”

ParentingDiva.com will be written by Allena Tapia, a freelance writer and mother of two from Lansing Michigan. “The process of parenting is difficult work, but it’s also hilarious, when you really stop to think about it,” she said.

Tapia continued, “Parenting is a challenge. People want to find others who aren’t afraid to say - Look, no mom is perfect, we all have challenges, and here’s how we met them. Sometimes it’s easier to do that in a virtual space. It’s so refreshing to go online and find out that your child isn’t the only one who puts shoes in the toaster, and you’re not the only one who can be reduced to a jello-y mess at the end of a long day.”
