Unequal Pay
Fortune has a list of the highest paid women CEO’s and the highest paid men CEO’s. Just for kicks I decided to compare the lists to see how far behind the women are.
I expected a small gap, but I did not expect this:
Highest Paid Woman
Safra Catz President and CFO Oracle 2005 Total compensation: $26.1 million
Highest Paid Man
Eugene M. Isenberg Chairman of the Board and CEO Nabors Industries 2005 Total compensation: $71.4 million
My math skills are lacking but does that fit within the .75 on the dollar saying? Now I know someone will want to come along and say it’s different companies with different profits, and blah blah…ok, sure.
