Court Says It’s Ok To Strip Search in School

Yet another reason why I will be homeschooling any children I have.

“Safford Middle School officials did not violate the civil rights of a 13-year-old Safford girl when they forced her to disrobe and expose her breasts and pubic area four years ago while looking for a drug, according to the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling.”

Guess what the drug was? Not marijuana, not heroine, not ecstasy… ibuprofen! Are you fricking kidding me? It was prescription strength but it still puzzles me why anyone would think it’s ok to humiliate and traumatize someone over what amounts to some Advil or Aleve.

“She was told to pull her bra to the side and shake it, exposing her breasts, and to pull her underwear out of her crotch and shake it, exposing her pubic area. The search produced nothing.”

The courts said this was justifiable behavior.

“…he also said that the rights of children in school are not the same as those of adults in other settings because there are “special characteristics of the school environment.”

Switch that round for a second if you may.

Boys have been strip searched for as long as the education system has existed, but for some reason its wrong to do the same to girls?

I’m not saying that the way they did it was right, in fact I’m pretty mortified at the way they did it. But you’re making it out as if it is right for boys to be strip searched and wrong for girls.

This is the kind of feminist fascism that has helped a great deal in screwing up this world. Things would have balanced on their own but now its starting to swing in the opposite direction and soon women will be paid more than men for the same job, men will be prosecuted if a woman sexually harassed them and so on, so forth.

This is the kind of narrow minded thinking that annoys me. I am talking about THIS STORY; I don’t care if it’s a girl or a boy- it’s wrong. Just because this story happens to be about a girl so what! It’s wrong to do it period. Did I say it’s not wrong to strip search a boy? No I didn’t. In fact I didn’t mention it because that’s not what THIS STORY is about.

hands would equally be broken if someone messed with my little boy. I’m an equal opportunity handbreaker if you mess with my kids. Ya know what, though? I’m in my kids schools A LOT. People know me by my first name there. I expect the same all the way through school. Therefore, I would expect the admin to think twice when dealing with my kids. Such is the benefit of smaller schools and involved parents. No need to homeschool, just be highly proactive.
