These HPV vaccine commercials are haunting me. I’m all for preventive health measures, but something about this vaccine doesn’t sit well with me.
Probably because as soon as it came out there was so much push for every parent to “do it, do it, get your daughter vaccinated, hey we should make this mandatory.”
It’s just unsettling.

About 6 or 7 years ago I was shopping at a store and I noticed a man following me. I turned around and could see that he was trying to get my attention.

Imagine replacing “men” and “women” with different racial groups and having that quote air on TV. I wonder how that would fly.
Is sexism the last publicly acceptable form of discrimination?

I hope that I’m not one of those parents who pushes their dreams onto their children. I don’t want to be one of those parents who says, “be like me, only better”. Unfortunately, when the time comes, that will probably be my motto.
