Absolutely. They love all that stuff. Now the real question is will the dads let their boys play with dolls?
I know I’m going to get blasted and maybe that’s what you want but no, I don’t think they should. Why would I want people making fun of my son and calling him names?
I feel like I should say sure, why not but I’m not that progressive.
@ Just Wondering - Nope.
@Melitsa- That’s a great question. I wonder if moms and dads feel differently.
@Erin I’ve heard that one before. Actually my mother told me that a long time ago.
@Paul well at least you are honest.
I bought my son a baby a doll on purpose - he LOVES to load up his stuffies in his wagon and pull them around our huge yard.
We’re helping these little people become fathers
and any little bit helps.
If he wanted more I’d get him more. His favorite color is pink right now. People look at me like I’m crazy but he’s his own person! Have you TRIED arguing with a determined 4.5 year old when he wants the pink balloon or pink butterfly catcher? I pick my battles thanks and what color he likes or the fact that he likes Dora (according to the boy next door Dora’s a girl show) is NOT one of them.
Awesome Question!
There’s something about a little boy playing with a baby doll - especially a Barbie Doll - that makes me cringe.
@Wendy- Good point, the world needs good fathers. Besides how would it sound to tell a little kid who has little concept of gender roles “no, you can’t have that color because you are a boy”.
@Valencia- Why is that? What about if it was a boy baby doll?
